Obituary of David Tanksley

David Tanksley passed away Friday June 21, 2013 at the age of 83. He was born on March 8, 1930 in Osborn, Ohio to the late Ralph and Effie Tanksley. He graduated from Miami of Ohio with a Masters degree in Geology in 1952. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1955 and then worked as a geologist for 31 years. David was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Tanksley, and two sisters, Helen Unger and Patricia Evans. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Tanksley; daughter and son-in-law Karen and David Nissman: daughter and son-in-law Ellen and Mark Fales; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Danielle Nissman. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel at Westminster Woods on Julington Creek, 25 State Road 13 Jacksonville, Florida 32257. Chaplain Kathy McLean will officiate.
