Obituary of Delores Dennis

Delores I. Dennis, 79, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2010. She was born on May 23, 1930 in Jacksonville, FL. She went to Lackawanna Elementary School and graduated from Lee High School. She married Robert Dennis May 25, 1951 and moved to the Southside to raise a family in 1955. Delores was a loving wife and mother of five. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald and his wife Allyson. She is survived by her husband Robert; sons, Robert (Laura), Donald (Jeannette), Steven (Deanna); daughter Carol; grandchildren, Lindsay, Brent, RJ, Lisa, Erin, Michael, Jason, Jessica, Jennifer, Nicholas, Benjamen, and CJ; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Michelle, Dasia, Zaia, and Jayla. Delores loved her family, and kept an open kitchen for all who came to her house. The last thirteen years of her life you could have seen her at the Beach Blvd Wal-Mart in the Garden Center. We will miss her dearly. A memorial gathering will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 29, 2010 in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, with Pastor Howard McMinn, officiating.
