Obituary of Densel Crumpton
CRUMPTON
Densel Boyd Crumpton, "Dick", 85, passed away February 7, 2010. He was born in Columbiana, Alabama on December 21, 1924, to Isaac and Eva Crumpton and served in the South Pacific during WWII in the United States Navy. Dick was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville Beach as well as a member of the American Legion Post 129, member and past president of the Beaches Lion's Club, retired from A&P Tea Company, and he operated Foodway Grocery at Jacksonville Beach for 10 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Frances Crumpton; son, Thomas Crumpton, (Patsy); daughter, Joanne Culbreth (Don); grandchildren, T.J. Breedlove, Randi Green, Elizabeth Crumpton, Justin Perry, Jenna Perry; sisters, Christine Pack, Faye Ulmer and Peggy Knight. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 form 6:00p.m. to 8p.m. and a funeral service on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 2:00p.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor Matthew Rowley. Interment will follow.
