Dewey Lancaster Troup, Jr., 56, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Savannah, GA to Dewey L. Troup, Sr. and Pauline B. Wingate on September 29, 1962.

Dewey has always kept his Cherokee heritage and had a special bond with all animals. He loved his horses and birds especially. Dewey loved helping people and working with his hands. He was able to build and fix almost anything. Dewey will be missed dearly by all of us and many of the animals he had a bond with. He was also a truck driver for many years off and on.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dewey Lancaster Troup, Sr. and grandmother, Goldie B. Hicks.

Dewey is survived by his; mother, Pauline B. Troup; daughter, Sarah Bays; sister, Donna Troup; brother, Wayne Troupe; grandson, Nathan Bays; 2 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great-nephews, 1 great-niece and numerous cousins and many close friends.

A visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm Sunday, August 18, 2019 in the Arlington Park Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL. A funeral service will commence at 4pm with Reverend Austin Battistic officiating.
