Diana Denise Keener, age 66, went home to be reunited with her beloved family and the love of her life, Mark Seyler, on March 11th, 2023. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 2nd, 1957 and later moved to Jacksonville, FL to live closer to her parents. Diana (Deedee) was a motherly presence to everyone around her and will not only be missed by those she cared for, but those precious few who cared for her (despite her insistence to the contrary). Diana was mother to her three children, Bradley, Jason (Monica), and Brian Barnes. She had two grandchildren, Nicolas and Aylin, who she welcomed with open arms the moment they were introduced to her at the age of seven and five, respectively.
Diana worked for the city of Jacksonville for years and later retired from JEA at the age of 60. Diana loved searching for shells at the beach, gardening, and always had a new project to work on. She also loved Disney but most of all, Tinkerbell, who her cat is named after.
While her sons were growing up, Diana's home was always the place to be in the neighborhood. The door was always open to all and she became the neighborhood mom to all of her son's friends. She also leaves innumerable memories with her friends, who will forever remember as a caring, thoughtful, considerate, and loving. Her impact on the lives of all those that knew her was immeasurable.

She has asked that there not be a funeral held for her and will be interred in private; but there will be a celebration of her life at one of her favorite restaurants, Southern Coast Seafood.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to "The Forgotten Angels" a local charity which provides company to the elderly in nursing homes and gifts throughout the year, but most of all during Christmas. Mom loved Christmas, giving presents, and making people feel loved and appreciated. This charity stands for everything that she believed in.
