Obituary of Dolores Mollica

Dolores "Dee" Yvonne Mollica, also lovingly known as, "Poodle", 64, passed peacefully to join her Lord and Savior. She was born on January 2, 1952 to the late Robert and Grace Porter in Speedwell, Virginia. Upon her graduation she went on to join the United States Navy and served as a dental technician, from which she was honorably discharged.

Dee will be remembered for her many talents including, but not limited to, her excellent culinary skills, her fun photo shoots, her impeccable story telling skills, especially "The Grave Digger", everyone's favorite! and was an avid bowler.

She was an active and charitable member of the Kehm Temple Daughters of the Nile, but above all she was the best cheerleader any of her children, adopted or not, could have ever asked for.

Dee is survived by her husband, Anthony "Tony" D. Mollica; children, Stephanie (Kyle) Lundgren, Angela (Michael) Tumlin, Charlotte "Charlee" (Michael) Francis, Jessica (Joshua) Lingenfelter, Jason (Melanie) Mollica, and Noel (Mike) Hicks; grandchildren, Kyle, Jr., Keagan, Gage, Grayson, Hayley, Kelsey, Aubrey, Leo, Elijah, Jonah and Samantha; siblings, Dan Porter, Jean Arnold, Elizabeth "Zippy" Mangham, Wesley Alan Porter, William "Bill" Porter and Stephen "Randy" Porter; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Holiday Inn Express, 4791 Windsor Commons Court, Jacksonville, Florida. Her Committal service with military honors will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, Florida.

On a final note, Poodle in her own words wrote, "To my entire family, no matter where they live or how they love, I leave my undying love and share with them the peace that God has given me."
