Donald Daley, 89, of Jacksonville FL passed away at his family home surrounded by the love of close family and friends on August 1, 2022.          Don, Donaldo, Doc, Papa also known as Donald Daley was born on March 10, 1933 to William and Margaret Daley in Hartford, Connecticut. He never met a stranger and loved long conversations about everything and nothing at the same time. A long time Florida Gator fan who made everyone want to cheer alongside him. In 1985 he met Jenny and did not wait long before making her "his bride" in 1986. Donald spent a long time with FedEx. He enjoyed the peace of the open road for a while before moving into the warehouse and eventually retiring after 15 years in 1995. From this point on, no word search puzzle went unsolved. He would even test his entire pen collection to make sure they made the cut and stayed in his box. Donald loved watching the Blue Angels perform and telling his family all the interesting facts he knew about them. Chocolate, cookies, his recliner and an old Western movie were the keys to his happiness. He loved the Flea Market and all of the unique people he would meet gave him stories for weeks. Don is survived by two sons, David and Dennis Daley, his wife Jenny Daley, two stepdaughters, Maritza Dodson and Miriam Gajnos, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
