Obituary of Donald Edwards

Donald Herman Edwards, Jr. (Donnie), 56, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Community Hospice. Donnie was born in Lyman, SC, the son of the late Don Edwards and Nancy Brock Edwards. Donnie (Big D) was involved in the car business for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville and was a former member of the Irving Southworth Lodge of South Carolina and the Hejaz Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy; two sons, Donnie Edwards (Megan) and Brian Edwards; two granddaughters, Reese and Quinn Edwards; one brother, Mike Edwards (Debbie); two sisters, Jan Alley (Jeff) and Leigh Ann Harrison (A.Y.); Parents-In-Law, Jesse and Lavenia Crenshaw of Greer, SC; two sisters-in-law, Diane Trussell (Griff) and Donna Cox (David); three aunts, Becky McAninch, Imolene Jenkins and Barbara Covan (Ray); four cousins and fourteen nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville at 4:00pm on May 27th, 2012. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Earl B. Hadlow Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
