Obituary of Dora Cox

Dora Cox, 80, passed away in her home on July 22, 2007 of natural causes. Known by many as Memaw, she was a skilled seamstress, avid reader and talented artist. Born on October 23, 1926 in Kentucky, she was the second child of Leonard and Laura Peters. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Cox and two sisters. Survivors include her daughter Diane Johnson and son-in-law Ken of Dacula, Georgia; son, James Thomas Cox of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Amber Marie Pittman of Covington, Georgia, Loryn Ashley Adriano of Jacksonville, Kayla Ashley Johnson of Dacula, Georgia, James Tyler Cox of Jacksonville and Hailey Dawn Cox of Jacksonville; great-granddaughter, Paxton; three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 27th at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, with interment to follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00pm Thursday, July 26th at the funeral home.
