Doris H. Dinkins, age 97, of Jacksonville, FL, passed February 7, 2018.  Doris was born July 8, 1920, in Amelia City, FL to Roy and Leonora (Gerbing) Hildreth.  After high school, Doris attended and graduated from St. Vincent's Hospital School of nursing in 1941, then worked many years at St. Vincent's and St. Luke's Hospitals.  Doris was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church where she was active in the Alter Guild and volunteered at the Lutheran Social Services.  She is preceded in death by her husband Leo, her sister Laura Metzger, and her brothers Howard and Sherman Hildreth. She is survived by her daughter Mary, son William, granddaughters Katherine (Chris) and Emily and their mother Gina, and several nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank Taylor Manor, Taylor Care Center and Community Hospice of the NE FL for the care of our mother and grandmother in her later years. The family will receive guests for a Visitation from 10 to 11 AM, Tuesday, 2018 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.  Funeral Services are to be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 13 at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 6801 Merrill Road, Jacksonville, FL 32277 or to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32257.
