Obituary of Doris Barie

Doris Aileen Gale Barie, 87, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. She was a loving wife devoted mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Doris was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on January 31, 1925 to the late Gerald and Mary Gale. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert E. Barie. Doris was a dedicated piano teacher for many years out of her home with a degree in music from the University of Michigan and a University of North Florida Librarian for 20 plus years. She was also a member of Mensa. Doris will be missed by many family members, friends and students. She is survived by her sons Robert Barie, William (Cheryl) Barie, John Barie; grandchildren Christie Lauderdale, Michael Barie, Brandon Barie, Lee Archer, Lyle Archer, Katie Barie and Alex Barie; great-grandchildren Sarah and Coleman Lauderdale, Emma and Elizabeth and Sophie and Brayden Archer; brother Glen(Brenda) Gale; sister Shirley (Jean) Carpenter and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Funeral home parlor and a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 435 1st Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach FL 32250. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
