Jackson, Doris Thelma, 98, passed away Monday January 30, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL under the devoted care of Lilibeth Adona.

She was born February 7th, 1924 in Tampa, Florida to A.E. Clements and Millie (O'Toole) Clements before moving to Lake City. She was the last remaining member of a large family of nine children and was especially close to her sister Agnes. Doris married Edward Jackson on October 24th, 1950 and was an accomplished homemaker until his death on March 8th, 1982.

Doris then went to work and retired from the Jacksonville City of Police after many years. Doris was a member of Terry Parker Baptist Church and was deeply devoted to her relationship with Christ. She loved gardening and could often be found out and about in her yard. She is survived by her son Arthur Jackson and daughter Sharon Autry; her granddaughter Paige Autry; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be graveside 11:00 am Monday February 6th, 2023 at Arlington Park Cemetery located at 6921 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL, 32211.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
