Doris Geraldine Jacobs Connelly, 95, born January 10, 1922 in Burlington Wisconsin to Arthur Jacobs and Matilda Johnson Jacobs, passed away April 15, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.

She graduated from Burlington High School in 1940 and was married to Jon P. Connelly in 1943. They had one son, Jack P. Connelly in 1948.

Doris worked for Dr. Frank Newell for 3 years and was one of the first employees of the Wisconsin Hi Liter newspaper, where she worked for 9 years.

She and her husband owned and operated the "Carousel" in Burlington, Wisconsin for 7 years.

Doris was a Charter Member of the VFW, post 2823, former member of Cross Lutheran Church in Burlington.

After Jon's retirement from Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company in 1973 they moved to Daytona Beach, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jon P. Connelly, January 6, 2008 in Port Orange, Florida; sister, Violet Bonnery and her brother- in- law Fred Bonnery.

Interment into the Norway Cemetery, 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, Wisconsin 53185, will take place at a later date.
