Doris Johnson Tribble, 90 a long-time resident of Jacksonville, loving wife and mother, died the 1st day of March 2015 after living a long and joy filled life.

Born October 2nd 1924 in Buford Georgia, Doris moved with her husband, John B. Tribble and their children to Florida in 1952. Doris worked for a local office supply company H. & W. B. Drew Company and as a church secretary for Terry Parker Baptist Church and then became a library assistant at FCCJ, where she enjoyed helping students with their assignments and worked there until her retirement in 1987.

Doris and John were members of the Terry Parker Baptist Church, where she served as secretary to the pastor. Doris loved her church family and her Lord; she attended church and Sunday school regularly. Doris loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her favorite things was spending time in Georgia with her brother and sisters.

Doris is survived by her daughter Phyllis, her son Robert, his wife Kara and their children, Travis, Ryan and Darian. Her son Benny, his wife Jerri and their children, David, his wife Michelle, step-son Alex and Daughter Lori, husband Joe and their children, Ashley, Andrew and Alec, and step-children Sam and Alex, his wife Gabriella and son Braylon. She is also survived by her sister's Jackie Cook, husband Bill and Melissa Waddell, husband Jim and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. Doris also had two brothers, Simon Johnson and Bill Johnson, both deceased.

Funeral services will be Graveside on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00am in the Arlington Park cemetery with the Rev. Bill Carmichael, Senior Adult Minister of Deermeadows Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm to 8:30pm at the Arlington Park Funeral Home. Family and friends are all welcomed at the home of Ben and Jerri Tribble; 3547 Boatwright Way W., immediately after the service.
