Obituary of Dorothy Greene

Mrs. Dorothy Greene, 83, of Mocksville, passed away Wednesday, June 6th, 2007 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. Mrs. Green, formally of Whitney Street in Jacksonville Florida, was retired from 30 years of service as a social worker in Duval County, FL.

She was born July 16, 1923 in Iredell County, NC to Raymond C. and Fannie Laird Foster. Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her Husband, Norman R. Greene, and brother Virgil G. Foster. Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Howard-Hinton; one brother, Zaro Foster (wife Barbara) of Odessa, TX; one sister, Gwen F. Smith of Mocksville; a niece and caregiver Sandra F. Vestal (husband Steve) of Mocksville and several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington Park Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
