Obituary of Dorothy Register

Dorothy Jean Register, 90, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009. She is remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Dorothy was born on May 3, 1918 to the late Frank and Eva Austill. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church since 1961. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 wonderful years Wilbur Register. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Joyce (David) Scoggins of Jacksonville, FL; son Douglas (Vicki) Register of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Brenda (Dave) Curbow of Paisley, FL; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn Sutton and dear friend Evelyn Baskin.Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 in the chapel and a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Northeast Florida Community Hospice McGraw Center.
