Dorothy Doolittle (Schwab) Doolittle's Obituary
Dottie went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Born in Mt. Healthy, Ohio on January 1, 1925 to Joseph and Mary Schwab.
She was predeceased by her husband Benson Doolittle and sister, Mary Duncan. Having no children of her own, she considered her nieces and nephews her children.
Dottie's work career included Shillito's Department Store, Abbott Laboratories, Motel owner with her father, Sears Credit Department and Publix Grocery.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville for over 40 years and was a member of the Chancel Choir and Singles Sunday School Department.
Dottie has a contagious smile, an outgoing personality and loved the Lord and the church. She will be missed by friends and family.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. Her nephew Rev. Shannon Duncan will conduct the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jacksonville or to a charity of one's choice.
