Earl Glenn Toney, age 98 who was born January 23, 1921 in Madison West Virginia passed away July 1st
2019 in Lake City, Florida.
Mr. Toney was a decorated War Veteran who served in the United States Army from 1940 to 1966. He
was in War World II and was part of the Normandy Beach invasion. Also served two tours in the Korean
War.
Mr. Toney retired from the Army and worked 20 years at an Electronics Company in Jacksonville, Florida
where he retired from in 1986.
Mr. Toney was proceeded in death by his Father Bud Toney who was a coal miner in West Virginia. His
mother Emma Toney and his beloved wife Ruth Anna Toney.
He is survived by his children - Rita (Doc Nichols) of Lake City, FL
Debbie Covington of Jacksonville, FL
Pat (Sonny Pruitt) of Lake City, FL
Stephen Toney of Jacksonville, FL
Also his 8 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held for Mr. Toney on Friday July 5th at The Watertown Congressional Methodist
Church, 1024 NE Okinawa St, Lake City, FL 32055.
