Edgar O. Biscotti, age 90, passed away August 6, 2017 early Sunday morning at the Haven Hospice Facility, Orange Park, Florida after a short illness. He was born in Amsterdam, New York on November 16, 1926 and predeceased by his parents John Biscotti and Marjorie Deyoe, his wife Helen O'Brien Biscotti in 2006, son Michael Biscotti in 1980 and sister Beverly O'Brien.
Edgar served in the United States Navy from Feb 02 1944 to Jun 04 1946 He then entered into active/in active reserve on 10 Apr 1951 to 26 Jul 1956. He worked for the Greater Johnstown School District in Johnstown, New York as a plumber before retiring and moving to Silver Springs, Florida with his wife Helen. Edgar loved to travel on cruises, play golf, bowl, deer hunt, and gardening.
Survivors include three children: Richard Biscotti, Colton California; Elizabeth Rhodes, Raleigh, North Carolina; and David Biscotti, Middleburg, Florida; in which Edgar resided with David and his wife Stacy for the past seven years. He also has two siblings Frances Becker of Gloversville, NY and John Biscotti of Johnstown, NY. Other survivors include three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Grave side services will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11am at the Sandflats (Evergreen) Cemetery Fonda, (Sammonsville, NY).
