Edna Letitia Kitchens, age 93, passed away September 18, 2016 at her home in the care of her family in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born June 21, 1923 in Elkin, North Carolina, and was the daughter of Chester and Mary Harris Fulp.
She was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church, and was active in her Ladies' Sunday School class. Edna loved working in her yard, and enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. She retired from Coastal Plains Insurance Agency, where she had worked for most of her career.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Emory Kitchens.
She is survived by her sons: Dewey Worth (Fran) of Jupiter, Florida; Philip Worth (Shary) of Jacksonville, Florida; Gene Worth (Mary) of Jacksonville, Florida; and David Worth (Stephanie) of Columbia, South Carolina, and her sisters Loraine Barnhart of Jacksonville, Florida; Nelda Johnson of Elkin, North Carolina, and Gertrude McNeil of Warner Robbins Georgia, along with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests for Visitation from 5 to 7PM, Friday, September 30, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 10 AM Saturday October 1, 2016 in Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Arlinda Burks officiating.
