Edna Wooten Peterson, 104, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born January 25, 1915 in Pender County, NC, Edna was the daughter of the late Rev. Bryant Henry and Hattle Rawles Wooten. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Wright Peterson; six sisters; and three brothers.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Mary Dennings and her husband O.J. "Smokey"; five grandchildren, Rhonda Egan and her husband Kenneth of Bolivia, NC, Linda Dennings of IN, O.J. Dennings III and his wife Lori of Clayton, NC, John Dennings and his wife Donna of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jeffrey Cumbie and his wife Kimberly of Charlotte, NC; twenty-one great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; twenty-three nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
