Obituary of Edward Spurrier

Edward Dowe (Ed) Spurrier, 73, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on January 11, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ed was born in Montgomery, Alabama on June 30, 1942. Upon graduating from Georgia Christian School he attended Harding College completing an Associate's Degree. He enlisted in the 125th Air National Guard in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1969 as a SSGT. He worked as a Sales Manager in the food and grocery industry until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed football, golf and boating.

Ed is survived by his wife, Janeice Spurrier, his children, Michelle Norton (Jim), Jan Spurrier, Richard Spurrier, II (Dana), Stephen Spurrier (Natasha), Elizabeth Spurrier, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Joan Spurrier, son J.C. Spurrier, his brother Stanley Spurrier and his parents Richard and Sarah Spurrier.

A visitation will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 1 pm followed immediately by a graveside memorial service and burial at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
