Obituary of Eleanor Fennell
Eleanor "Faye" King Fennell, 83, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on December 30, 2014. Her devotion to family and faith in Jesus Christ were her priorities Throughout her life. Faye was born to the late Luby and Pearl King of Wilmington, NC on July 29, 1931. Faye was blessed with a close and loving family. She was the "baby" of her family to her siblings, Louise, Bernard, Ernest and Kathleen who all preceded her in death. She met her husband to be, William "Bill" Fennell, in Wilmington during high school. They began dating and married after graduating while Bill was serving in the Army. Faye and Bill remained devoted to one another in sickness and health throughout their 61 years together. Faye was a mother and homemaker at heart. She was quick to make any personal sacrifice necessary to meet the needs of her family. Her giving attitude continued throughout her entire life. Faye will be dearly missed but her life will continue to be celebrated in the firm knowledge that all is well with her soul as she dwells eternally with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Faye is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Debbie Hendrix; her son, Tim Fennell and his wife, Susan; her grandchildren, Sybil Collier and her husband, Mike;, Austin Fennell and his wife, Stacey; Lauren Gonzalez and her husband, Chris; as well as three great grandsons, Zachary, Jacob and Luke Collier; and many nieces and nephews. Her final request is that all know how much she loved and and appreciated each one. Faye's life will be celebrated at the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel at noon on January 5, 2015. Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. The family gratefully requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Christian Family Chapel Missionary Fund directly or via care of the family.
