Obituary of Eleanor Moore
Eleanor "Nell" Vernell Moore, 82, entered into rest on August 23, 2013. She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was born on September 13, 1930 in North Carolina to the late Coyer and Goldie King. She moved to Jacksonville in 1960 when her husband was transferred with the railroad. She enjoyed baking and absolutely adored spending time with her family. Nell was a teaching assistant for 18 years at Lake Lucina Elementary where she made many friends and enjoyed watching dozens of children grow and develop. She has been a member of Terry Parker Baptist Church for fifty years and knew the Lord as her savior. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Moore "Bob"; daughter, Hazel Moore; siblings, Virginia, Velma, and Buddy and nephew Greg Wilson. She is survived by her children, Robert Jr., Kimberly (Larry) Daniels and Karla (Charles) McKeldin; twelve grandchildren, Nicole, Shaun, Jasmine, Justin, Jessica, Jo Dee, Brandon, Amanda "Mandi", Charlie, Steven, Jonny and Kayla Jonell; and five great grandchildren, Isabella "Bella", Abigail "Abby", Jonah Robert, Alaina and Destiny Hazel; brother, C.J. King, numerous nieces and nephews and many beloved friends. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 6-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Nell's funeral will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 12:00pm with Dr. David Imhoff officiating.
