Mary Elizabeth Cavender (Elizabeth) passed away on November 12, 2020.  Elizabeth was born on January 5, 1926.  She grew up in Hertford County in Eastern North Carolina in farm country.  She was the daughter of Walter Stallings Parker (dec.)  and Mary Sallie Willoughby (dec.).  She was the sister of Ruth Mitchell Parker Overton (dec.).  She was predeceased by her spouse, James Dale Cavender. She had a son that passed, as a baby in 1947, James Dale Cavender, Jr.  She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Kaye Cavender Baldree and a son, Thomas Walter Cavender.  Also survived by two grandchildren, Tara Ann Baldree Skalowski (Daniel), and Jonathan Anthony Baldree (Courtney).  She had four great grandchildren, William Anthony Baldree, Barrett Anthony Baldree, Annabelle Mae Baldree, and Oliver Anthony Skalowski.  Additionally survived by several nephews and nieces.

Raised by Christian parents and was a carbon copy of their values. She was in keeping of a great love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her family. She leaves with us a legacy of strong southern women. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, you will be missed so very much.

A graveside service, for immediate family, will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 2pm Pastor Harvey Hahn officiating.
