Obituary

Elizabeth Serna Lolinco, aged 68, passed away peacefully at her residence on 03 April 2015 Friday at 02:12 AM where she was accompanied by family and friends. She was born on 04 July 1946 in the City of Alaminos in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines to Ricardo Serna (Father) and Tranquilina Valdez (Mother). Elizabeth's profession was in nursing where she worked at Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (Philippines) as a nurse. Post coming to the United States, she was employed by Jacksonville Medical Center and eventually spent the rest of her career working for and retiring from Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville - Beaches for 20+ years.

Elizabeth was married to Basilio Sy. Lolinco, Jr., whom preceded her in death on 23 August 2011 Tuesday and were married for 41+ years. Together, they had three children - Iosani Serna Lolinco (First/Son), Yvex Serna Lolinco (Second/Daughter), and Vladimir Serna Lolinco (Third/Son). Iosani is married to Rosa and together they have three children - Annabelle (1st), Antony (2nd), and Anna (3rd). Yvex is married to Norman Foor and together they have 4 cats and 1 dog. Vladimir is currently single and a physicist. Elizabeth was born into a family whereby she's the only daughter but has 10 brothers. Currently, she has three brothers living in Jacksonville, FL (Danilo Serna, Alfredo Serna, and Teodorico Serna), one in Vallejo, CA (Ludovico Serna), one in San Diego, CA (Rudolfo Serna), and one in Las Vegas, NV (Benedicto Serna).

Not only did Elizabeth pass away peacefully but she retired doing what she loved doing which was providing the care and compassion to those that were sick and in need. Rain or shine, working or not, Elizabeth always had an upbeat personality, compassionate beyond definition, and always cared for her family with utmost priority. She will be forever be in our thoughts and prayers and will surely be missedlove always - family and friends!!!

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:00am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1665 Fort Caroline Rd with Fr. Anthony Bonela, officiant. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Arlington Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
