Obituary of Elizabeth Walker

Elizabeth Snipes Walker, 83, entered into rest on August 2, 2008. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 beautiful years, Mr. Thad O. Walker Jr., Son; Thad O. Walker III (Sheila), grandsons; Thad B. Walker and Ethan J. Walker, nieces; Davanna Stewart and Pam Rose Hewlett, nephews; Ronnie Stewart Jr., Jack Stewart, and Alex Saint-Amand, brother-in-law; Lindsey R. Walker; sister in-laws; Sue Neil Walker and Betty L. Saint-Amand (Robert), and numerous good friends. She leaves behind a legacy that includes teaching for Sunset Park Junior High of Wilmington, NC and Terry Parker High School of Jacksonville, FL from which she retired in 1985. She was an avid collector of antique glass and enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all of their athletic endeavors.
