Elsa Eva Hill, 86, of Jacksonville, Florida, went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Elsa was the youngest of seven brothers and sisters. She attended Terry Parker High School and graduated in 1958. She began her career working at the Florida National Bank in downtown Jacksonville and retired after 43 years of service.
Elsa never married or had children. However, she worked hard to take care of and provide, for her mother until she passed away in 1978. Having many brothers and sisters meant many nieces, nephews, and cousins; all of whom she loved dearly.
Elsa's faith in God was always an important part of her life. When she was 7, she began attending church at Woodland Acres Community Church and later as a young woman, she taught Sunday School for many years. In 1974, Elsa and her mom moved. After that move, Elsa began looking for a new church closer to home. In the early 2000's, she found a new church home at Good News Baptist Church and remained a member there until her recent passing.
Elsa's hobbies were reading, word puzzles, and tending to her plants.
Arrangements for Elsa were made with Arlington Park Funeral Home. Family and friends may call Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the funeral home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside committal at Arlington Park Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
*Immediately following the service please join us for a celebration of Elsa's Life at Good News Baptist Church (in the fellowship hall). 2600 St Johns Bluff Rd. S. 32246.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make donations to Good News Baptist Church.
