Obituary of Elsie Ferguson

Elsie Jewell Davis Ferguson, 79, daughter of Edward James Davis and Ada Cave Davis, born May 4, 1936 in High Point, North Carolina, passed away June 7, 2015 at her home in Jacksonville, Florida.

Elsie enjoyed working side by side with her husband, Richard in their Upholstery business for 35 years. After her husband passing, she then took on a new endeavor working at Costco for over 15 years. Costco was a place that she really enjoyed working and made many friends there. She enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family at church and work.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Ferguson.

She is survived by her children, Craig Yow, Sharon Yow, Kim McCoy (Marc) and Richard L Ferguson Jr. (Paige); Her Grandchildren , Jennifer Cooley-Myrick, Ashley Yow, Lyndsey Yow, Damon Cole, Chris McCoy, Tiffany Wise, Megan McCoy, Trace Ferguson and Palmer Ferguson and her 9 Great Grandchildren

A Visitation Gathering will be held at the funeral home 6-8 PM, Thursday, June 11, 2015, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida. 32211 (904) 724-6384.

A Celebration of Life will begin 11AM, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Kernan Blvd Baptist Church, 4000 Kernan Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32224, with Pastor William Crooke officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida.
