Emile K. Shami passed away peacefully on December 28 th , 2023.

Emile was a considerate, selfless man who choose the needs of others before himself. This generous soul was guided by his strong devout Catholic faith. He was a loyal peacemaker to all family and friends.

Emile was a steadfast member of Resurrection Catholic Church for over 47 years. He volunteered his services through ushering, Eucharistic ministry and sanctuary purification.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus where he was involved in many charitable works.

Emile was a devoted husband of 57 years to his beloved bride, Samia. He was an amazing and loving father. His legacy will live through his children, Charles (Tracy), Alex and Sophia. He was a doting grandfather to his precious Ashley.

He was a loving brother to his siblings, Elias (Diane), Betty (Albert), Antoinette (Michel), Antoine (Rosemary), George (Rosevita), Yvette (Anthony), Emily (Luca), Nadia (John), Joseph (Margaret) and Peter (Uguette).

The visitation and rosary service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 University Blvd N., Jacksonville, Florida 32277 (904) 744-0833, on Thursday January 11th from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

The funeral service and reception will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church on Friday, January 12th , at 11:00 am.

The interment service will be held after the funeral mass at Arlington Park Cemetery.
