Obituary of Ermine Powell

Mrs. Ermine Maddux Powell, 88, of Jacksonville FL, died February 12, 2011 at Saint Luke's Hospital. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Ermine was a native of Nashville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Popo and Bill Maddux. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jack Payne Powell Sr. and son Jack Payne Powell Jr. Ermine is survived by her two grandchildren Heather and Joshua, dear friend Brenda Shirah and her dog Shadow. She was a faithful member of Arlington Road Church of Christ for the last thirty years and she will be missed by her family there. Ermine was very active in Kentuckians Ladies Club and volunteered for Taylor Manor and Dreams come True. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and a funeral service on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Arlington Road Church of Christ, 6215 Arlington Road North, at 10:00am. Interment will follow.
