Obituary of Esperanza Del Rio

Esperanza "Hope" Cuartero Del Rio, 87, passed away on Sunday, June 08. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, and devoted person by all who knew her. Hope was born January 25, 1921 in Tampa, FL, the ninth of 10 children. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest Del Rio II of 57 wonderful years. Hope is survived by her daughter Dolores Ploeg (Mike); son Ernest Del Rio II (Gerry); one sister Ocilia Cuartero; one brother William Cuartero; three grandchildren, Darryl Del Rio (Tamara), Derek Ploeg, Danielle Ploeg and one great-grandson, Tyler Del Rio. She was a member of the Southside Womens Club, Arlington Womens Club, and Arlington Lions Club. The family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Wednesday June 11, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel, and a funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. also in the chapel. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
