Obituary of Essie Cook
Essie Huff Cook, 90, passed away August 4, 2008. She served with the Women's Army Corps and went on to have a career as a beautician for 20 years. She attended college and received her Bachelor's degree after retirement in her mid 70's. For 62 years she was very happily married to Lawrence A. Cook, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Spears and son-in-law, John Spears, Sr.; four grandchildren, John Jr., Larry, Tanya and Amanda; and seven great-grandchildren. Essie has gone home to be with the Lord and has been reunited with her husband. She will be greatly missed.
