Etheleen M. Arsenault of St. Augustine passed away on January 7, 2019. She was 94 years old. Etheleen was born November 12, 1924 to Alfred and Emely (Michaud) Gerard in Limestone, Maine.

Born premature, Mere, Mimi, Great Mere spent the first few months of her life in a shoe box in the oven of a wood burning stove.  Etheleen was an avid homemaker throughout her life.  She had the unique talent of eating a previously unknown dish in a New Orleans restaurant and then duplicating it at home based solely on taste.  The world without her will certainly be a less kind and gentle place.

Etheleen is survived by her sons; Kenneth G. Arsenault, Jr. (Shannon) and Rick Arsenault (Robbie), grandchildren; Andy Arsenault (Stephanie), Kenny Arsenault (Mandi) and Ariel Buss (Clayton);  great-grandchildren, Caleb, Colin, Kenny, Sophie, Presley, Oliver and Hattie; her brothers, Herb, Everett (Vera) and Fred.

Etheleen was preceded in death by Kenneth G. Arsenault, her husband of 54 years; brothers Pete and Jim and her sister Annette.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Reverend Fr. Rafael LaVilla will be the celebrant. Etheleen's family will be greeting guests from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be in the Arlington Park Cemetery.
