Obituary of Eva Coggins
Eva Julia Bass Coggins, 82, passed away on July 24, 2012. Eva was born in Jacksonville on July 22, 1930 to the late David John Bass and Hazel Martha Bucklew Bass. Eva was preceded in death by her husband William Frances Coggins (USAF Ret), son William Frances Coggins II (UF) and brother David Eugene Bass (Betty). Eva is survived by her sons Guy Kelly Coggins (Lorena) and Timothy M. Coggins (Lenor); grandchildren Jessica, Sean, Guy and Timothy; great-grandchild Isabella; sisters Pearl Anita Harvey and Bonnie Mae Weitzel (Gene); brothers William Curtis Bass (Chaleen) and John Lawrence Bass (Ayxita); Nieces and Nephews Mary, Duke, Sandy, David, Lou, Angela, Linda, Ronnie, Curtis, Sharon, Jason, Lisa, Michael, John, David, Bain, Aaron, Dale and Brandy; Eva also has numerous great nieces and nephews. Eva's favorite activities include reading, gardening, and spending time with family. Eva was patriotic and proud of the fact that her late husband of 48 years and surviving sons all retired from the U.S. Air Force. Eva was a member of the NCOA, AFSA, and supported numerous other Air Force activities to include the Air Force Memorial in Washington D.C. Family invites guests to attend a visitation on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Arlington Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville FL and a graveside service at Arlington Park Cemetery that will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1 pm.
