Obituary of Eva Guinn

Eva Marie Guinn went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 2, 2012, peacefully, surrounded by family. Marie was the third child of James Edward and Annie Lee Harrison, born on February 16, 1930 near Pinson, Tennessee. She is survived by Orville W. Guinn Sr. her husband of nearly 62 years, her daughter Rose Kaiser (George), children Christina Keyser (Rev. Manny), Hillary Kaiser; daughter Patricia Trouard (Jimmy), children Lauren, Austin, and her son Wayne Guinn. Marie was predeceased in death by her parents and sisters Mary Cupples, Nell Sutton and grandson Jason C. Panides. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL where she served as an outreach leader. She enjoyed gardening, international travel and hosting gatherings for friends and family. After raising her children, she pursued part-time employment at May Cohens Department Store for a number of years. A service celebrating her life will be held in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211 on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 11:00 am. Graveside interment to follow. The family will receive friends at 9:45 am until 11:00 am on the day of the service. In honor of Marie, flowers may be sent to the funeral home, contributions made to Elpis International a non-profit Christian organization started by her grand-daughter to provide hope to orphans and widows in Ethiopia, 7900 Lone Star Rd. Jacksonville FL, 32211 or to the Homer G. Lindsay Scholarship Endowment Fund, 124 West Ashley St, Jacksonville FL, 32202.
