It is with heavy hearts that we share that Florence Anne Hayes of Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra, Florida went to be with her Lord on August 27, 2023. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years, Bobby Thomas and son Steve. She is survived by her children, Susan and Michael (Lisa), grandchildren, Meghunn (Tracy), Jessica, Taylor, Austin and Madison, and great granddaughter, Hailey.

Anne was born 91 years ago in Memphis, Tennessee to Alvin Maurice and Ella Mae (Perryman) Boone. She was predeceased by her two brothers Maurice and Larry. She met and married the love of her life, Bobby Thomas, in Memphis and they lived in several states before settling in Jacksonville, which has been home for the past 68 years.

Throughout her life Anne worked in accounting for financial institutions and developers. Anne loved serving the Lord through various ministries at Parkwood Baptist and First Baptist Church and was eternally grateful for her relationship with Jesus Christ and the love and fellowship she shared with family and friends. Anne had a contagious laugh and a positive word for everyone she met.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Anne's life will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel on September 8.  Visitation will begin at 9 am followed by the funeral service at 10 am with Pastor Steven Clifton officiating.
