Obituary of Faye Earle

Faye McLeod Earle passed away in the early morning of April 9th, 2008, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia and multiple related maladies. She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Retired Jacksonville Fire Chief, Wilfred "Willie" Earle; daughter and granddaughter, Arlene and Traci Friesland; daughter and grandsons Carolyn, Sean and Matthew McMillan; mother, Bernice Crosby; sister Viva Taylor and her husband Charles; brother, W. C. Crosby and his wife, Leah; sister, Linda Kelly and her husband, Steve; brother, James Byrd and sister, Molly McLeod. "Aunt Faye" was also survived by four nephews, Michael Taylor and his wife Nancy; Todd Crosby; Joel Kelly and his wife Jamie; Justin Kelly and his wife Rebecca; and great nieces, Christen Taylor, Brittany Taylor and Jessica Kelly; as well as many life long loving and caring friends. Faye was born in Wayne County Georgia and moved to Jacksonville in 1940 where she attended local schools before starting her career as a bookkeeper and then homemaker for Willie and their two daughters. After retirement, Faye and Willie loved traveling around the country and also spending special times with family and their many life long friends. Faye had a truly blessed life with a strong and committed marriage and loving family. She easily made her way into the hearts of everyone that was fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. The family wishes to thank the staff of Life Care Center of Jacksonville where Faye and Willie resided together during the last year. Their compassion and caring service is gratefully appreciated.
