Obituary of Florence Dalton

Florence Irene Granny Dalton, age 94, passed away Wednesday April 8th. She was born Florence Irene Belcher on May 26, 1913. She was the last survivor of thirteen children. She married George Dalton on December 23, 1929. Together they had four children, sixteen grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren. She was simply known as Granny by everyone that entered her home. Everyone knew that Grannys door was always open, for a glass of tea, or just a good conversation. Although she has left us all with wonderful memories, she will truly be missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George D. Dalton, son, George M. Dalton, One grandson Carroll L. Burnette, Jr.. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Gibbons (Tommy), Eva Nan Burnette (Carroll), Kenneth Dalton (Flo). Grandchildren, Debbie Livingston (Mike), Tommy Dalton (Dana), Kim Tucker, Dawn Fowler, Leslie Walker, Dempsey Walker (Lynne), Celina Wilson (Bryan), Loree Gunter (Jason), Destery Walker, Douglas Walker (Vickie), Tena Roll, Jeff Burnette, Angie Roberts(Russell), Ritchie Holder, Denise Church (Kenny), Kenneth Dalton Jr., Denise Church and Richard Holder.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at First Coast Rehab, for the special care they have given to Granny for the past few years.
