FLORENCIA BACOLOR JONES was born in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines. She was the 5th child of Saturnino Bacolor and Paulina Clemente. A retired public elementary school teacher in Camiling, she came to Los Angeles, California in 1981. In July, 1984 she married Robert H. Jones of Jacksonville, Florida. After retiring from Memorial Hospital- Brook Rehab Center, she lived with her daughter EVANGELINE BACOLOR GUMERA and son-in law EPIFANIO GUMERA. In Dec of 2008, Ms. JONES had a stroke and fully recovered at Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville. In 2010, she became a resident of All Saints Nursing Home. After 5 years and until her demise, she was a resident of Riverwood Nursing Home. Ms. Jones was a member of the Blessed Trinity Catholic Family.
Ms. Jones is survived by her daughter, her son-in law, her grand daughters and their families: Christiane Gumera (husband Richard Cross) of Philadelphia, sons Andrew and Austin, Janice Tanselle of Brooklyn, NYC (husband Rhett Tanselle) son Julian and daughter Clarke, Hazel Gumera of Orlando, FL (husband James Banner) daughter Alexandra.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, March 18th at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 19th at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida. Internment will be in Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville following the service. A
