Frances Crumpton, 99, passed away peacefully in the care of Community Hospice and her family on November 8th, 2025. She was born on June 27th, 1926 to Joel and Estelle Ashworth.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dick Crumpton, her son, Tom Crumpton, as well as her parents and 3 sisters, Pat, Evelyn, and Mary (all from Alabama).

She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Culbreth (Don) and grandchildren, Randi Green (Jenn), TJ Breedlove (Daniela), and Beth Crumpton, beloved step-grands, Adrian Perkins (Todd), Carly Coffman (Kyle) and great-grands, Hannah, Erin, Camden and Cannon.

Frances lived a long full life, moving to Jacksonville early after marrying. She worked part-time, but loved being a mother and grandmother "mawmaw" more than anything. Reading was also a love of hers, and as her vision began to fail she settled into audio books and then Gunsmoke (her favorite show). Her love of Jimmy Dean biscuits and Dr. Pepper are well-known in this family. She also loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, and will be so missed this year and always. For the past 15 years she has lived with her daughter and son-in-law. We have loved taking care of her. Toward the end as Community Hospice came in, we were so grateful to have such wonderful care added to her routine as her health failed.

Her service will be lovingly led and officiated by family members, Don and Joanne Culbreth, and Jenn Green at the burial site: Arlington Park Cemetery (6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211), on November 18th at 11am.
