Obituary of Frances Robertson

Mrs. Frances Jacqueline Robertson, 89, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011, leaving us to be with her husband of over 60 years.

Frances was born in Charlotte, N. C. on November 21, 1921 and graduated from the Medical College of South Carolina School of Nursing in Charleston, S. C. in 1945, and moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 1952. She went to work for Baptist Hospital as one of the first delivery room nurses when the hospital first opened. A humanitarian path continued throughout her life -- offering comfort through her nursing skills, enjoying a good Christian fellowship, and showing an unwavering devotion to her family. Tom and Frances traveled extensively in their retirement and often took friends and family with them. We will miss her smile, her quick wit, and her discipline for always looking proper and beautiful. Frances enjoyed the Life Center in Riverside and the many friends she made there.

The family extends a special thanks to her caregiver, Cynthia Bacon.

A graveside service will be held August 27, at 10 AM with a celebration of her life to follow at her home.
