Obituary of Francis Prescott

Francis Elmer Prescott, 85, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2010. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and caring friend to all who knew him. Francis was born on July 8, 1924 in North Andover, MA, to the late Frank and Amelia Prescott. He retired and moved from Methuen, Ma. to Jacksonville, FL in 1984. He was a World War II Veteran in the Army Air Corp. He was a fourth degree night with the Knights of Columbus, belonged to the Arnold Greenwood Post V.F.W, and was past president of Arlington Lions Club. Francis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of sixty three wonderful years Helen Lanouette Prescott; daughters Patricia (Colon) Sawyer, Kathleen Jenkins, Susan (Bizbee) Corrow, Debra (Michael) Dube; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation from 6:00p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:30 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 Arlington Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
