Fred Nicholas Schlicht, 82, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014.
He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and caring friend to all who knew him. Fred was born on March 15, 1932 in Union City, New Jersey to the late Fred and Edith Schlicht. He was a very active and faithful servant at Saint Paul United Methodist Church. Fred was an investment advisor for over 40 years at Florida National Bank, First Union Bank and Wachovia Bank.
He is survived by his loving wife Millie Schlicht, of 59 wonderful years; children, Cindy (Ray) Sapp, Marty (Brandi) Schlicht, Beth (Jeff) Fischer; five grandchildren, Courtney Robinson, Lindsey Fischer, A.J. Schlicht, Matthew Fischer, and Shelby Schlicht along with a host of extended family.
His memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 12:00pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 8264 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Haven at www.hope-haven.org and or to St. Paul United Methodist Church to the address listed above.
