Obituary of Fronie Brooks

Fronie Brooks, 81, passed away August 7, 2009 surrounded by her family. Fronie was a selfless caregiver to her whole family. She was a wonderful mom to her kids and an amazing "Ga-Ga" to her grandchildren. She loved to work in her yard and took pride in making it beautiful. Fronie was also a faithful member of Wesconnett Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brooks; her son, Mickey Brooks; parents, Ira and Lonie Bratcher and her brother, B.S. Bratcher. Fronie leaves many to cherish her memory including her daughters, Wanda Miller (Guy), Diane Eng (Larry), Debbie Maness (Matt) and Lisa Carter (Antonio); step-daughter, Paulette Sullivan (Marshall); her grandchildren, Aaron Brooks, Chuck Miller, Kristin Adams, Skipper Ryan, Eric Eng, Stacy McClure, Candace Maness, Kim Maness, Brandon Carter, Brianna Carter and Blake Carter; 19 great grandchildren; her sisters, Betty Baker and Jen Shad; numerous nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. A celebration of Fronie's life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 11:00am in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Arlington Park Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home.
