Gary Eugene Garner passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, in his home in Jacksonville, Florida.
He was born on November 15, 1935, in Camden, New Jersey to Eugene and Eugenia (Trevinski) Garner.
He came to the Jacksonville area in the 7th grade and graduated from Bradford County High School in Stark, Florida and was the Captain of the football team. He was a successful businessman, entrepreneur, and owned and operated Garner Ace Hardware for 35 years with his loving wife, Sue Siprelle Garner. Gary was a Shriner at the Morocco Temple with the Spitfires. He was a hard worker, loved fishing in the Florida keys and old western movies. He built his home in Arlington on the river with his own two hands and moved in mortgage free in 1977.

Gary was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and husband, affectionately known to his grandchildren as "Grandpa Grumpy". He is survived by his wife, 3 siblings, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and predeceased by his son, Joe, and brother, Marvin, and will be deeply missed.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church on Arlington Road.
