George Assad Saba, age 72, son of Assad George Saba and Fadwa Yacoub Shami, was born on August 13, 1945 in Jerusalem and passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida.

George was a very kind and giving person and helped many in need.  He loved to cook and enjoyed sharing his food with friends and family.  He was a gardener with a green thumb who loved to share his crop.  He was an athlete who was an excellent swimmer, hunter and tennis/soccer player.  George owned his own landscaping business.

He was preceded in death by his father Assad Saba, his mother Fadwa Shami Saba, many uncles, aunts and cousins.

George is survived by 5 sisters: May Saba Geha,  Laila Saba Thabet, Nadia Saba Mohamete, Salwa Saba, Diana Saba Aboumrad and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service followed by a reception will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 starting at 6 pm in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211 with Pastor Tom Savage officiating.
