Georgia Molter MacLean, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 11, 2020 in St. Johns, FL. She was born April 23, 1929 to parents Urban Joseph and Mae Eloise Molter in Fort Myers, FL. Georgia was a published author and contributing editorialist to the Florida Times Union and Catholic Magazine "Reflections" and known to be a seasoned traveler. She was an early member of the Christ the King Parish in Arlington and lately of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mandarin, where she loved to sing in the choir. Georgia raised her kids to be independent and to work to make the world a better place. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Georgia was preceded in death by both parents; son, Charles (Christine) MacLean III and daughters, Melanie MacLean (Richard) Cross and Marilyn Julia MacLean.
She is survived by her loving husband C. Donald MacLean, Jr.; son, Paul (Kim) MacLean; daughters, Melissa MacLean (Frank) Turner, Jan MacLean and Marjorie MacLean; nine grandchildren, Robert (Stella) Angelieri, Adam Cross, Matthew (Jodi) Turner, Julianne Turner, Allison MacLean (Brennen) Staves, Caroline MacLean, Cameron MacLean, Majd Ajameyeh and Mourad Ajameyeh and three great grandchildren, Lawson, Landon and Liam Turner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11730 Old St. Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258.
Visitation will begin at 9:00am, Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church at 4124 Loretto Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258. A Mass of Christian Burial will promptly follow at 9:30am with Father Sebastian George, CMI officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32211 with Deacon Kevin Boudreaux, M.S. officiating.
