Obituary of Gerald Satterfield

Gerald Elvin Satterfield, 70, passed away in a local hospital in Green Cove Springs surrounded by his family.

Gerald, also affectionately known as Froggy was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having finished four tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a great man with a big heart; helping anyone that was in need. Gerald received his nickname after developing his own way of speaking after having a laryngectomy. Gerald loved to help other veterans that had the same challenges as him. He was a collector of vinyl records, loved to play the saxophone and bassoon; and enjoyed sharing his memories and dreams.

Gerald is survived by his daughter Lisa Leilani Campbell (Michael); grandchildren Darcie, Sara, Mathew; siblings Jacqueline Tatum, Phillip Satterfield, Darrell Satterfield; nephews Kenneth and Phillip Satterfield; niece Susan Satterfield. Other survivors include Gerald II, Renee, and Christopher Satterfield.
