Obituary of Gladys Allen

Gladys Eleanor Allen, 83, passed away quietly Monday morning, July 23, 2007. She is remembered as a loving mother, devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Gladys was born on April 26, 1924 in Worcester, MA. the daughter of the late Frank C. Moore and Ida Catherine Moore. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Hobart Allen of 32 wonderful years and her twin sister Ida Johnson. She was a veteran of World War II; she served in the United States Navy. Gladys was retired from Baptist Hospital of Jacksonville after 30 years of dedication. She was a resident of Taylor Homes for 13 years. Gladys is survived by her loving children Judy (Ted) Rayfield; David (Donna) Allen; Joyce (Barry) Lowry; 8 loving grandchildren and 9 cherished great-grandchildren.
